A Study in Layers, Light, and Artisan Craft
The STRATUM Pendant is a modern composition of texture and contrast. Forged from Titanium Damascus, .925 sterling silver, and hammered copper, it celebrates the relationship between light, depth, and craftsmanship. Each pendant is handcrafted in Hendersonville, North Carolina, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects both precision and artistry.
The Art of Titanium Damascus
Titanium Damascus is formed by layering two or three different grades of titanium alloys, sometimes reaching up to 300 layers. The layers are sealed in a metal box with inert gas and heated to around 2,192°F. Once the desired temperature is reached, hydraulic pressure fuses the titanium into a single, durable piece.
Each forging reveals a unique natural pattern, which becomes the centerpiece of the STRATUM Pendant. The titanium is framed by engraved silver and accented with warm copper, creating a wearable sculpture that bridges contemporary design and traditional technique.
