DOUBLOON Sterling Silver Pendant

An artifact reborn in precious metal. The DOUBLOON Pendant is a handcrafted sterling silver rendition of both sides of the Philip V doubloon, created to honor the artistry of the original coin while carrying the signature of modern craftsmanship. Hand-forged in .925 sterling silver, it transforms a piece of maritime history into a timeless statement of strength, endurance, and individuality.

Each pendant is designed, poured into existence, and finished by hand in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Both sides of the piece preserve the defining imagery of the Philip V doubloon, including the royal shield and the cross, each recreated in wax to capture the integrity and relief of the original. Once cast, the pendant is treated with liver of sulfur (LOS) to bring depth to the recessed surfaces, then gently hand-polished to reveal highlights that shimmer against the oxidized tones.

Encircling the coin is a copper bezel, polished to a near-mirror finish. Over time, this surface will evolve, developing rich and unpredictable tones that tell their own story. Unlike the flat green patina of unpolished copper, this finish deepens and shifts with wear, light, and touch, making each piece unique to its owner.

The handcrafted silver bail is custom-fitted for every pendant, ensuring balance, proportion, and individuality. The result is harmony between precision and imperfection, with metal made meaningful through touch, time, and intent. 

Because each pendant is made by hand, every rendition will differ slightly. No two are ever the same, with each bearing the character of its creation.
